Before starting, I have to say that I am not a business expert. I am a Spiritual Awakening Teacher and an author, and what I do may seem unrelated to business. However, this is not the case as everything is part of the whole.

A few days ago, I attended a 4-day Business Retreat in Cumbria, Lakes District, UK. Ten other women attended, including two main organisers, one expert in sales and the other one in mindset.

During the retreat, I met amazing women who are making a huge impact globally, and together, we helped each other pinpoint what was needed for us to go to the next level in our businesses. A powerful combination took place where the sales and mindset trainings provided met the force of teamwork.

There are always misconceptions regarding people that work with matters of the soul. For example, we should work for free or charge very little for our services. However, one of the biggest misinterpretations comes from every people that define themselves as well-being or spiritual teachers of some sort — and this is that we do not have a business. We simply help others and receive money sometimes. This notion makes us bypass the importance of having systems in place in all areas, including finances.

Those four days made me realized a few things that I want to share with you.

  1. I have always invested money in my education to become a teacher, then why should I not do the same when teaching others?

  2. Those who have taught me are spiritual teachers themselves and have a team of people working for them. They have costs to cover, and so do I.

  3. Everyone lives somewhere. They have to pay rent, mortgage, bills, groceries, and more. I have to do the same.

  4. My time is as valuable as is everyone else’s time. Sometimes I can give away for free but not always.

  5. The universe is ready to give and to receive., I have to comply with universal laws like the law of reciprocity.

  6. Any work needs a structure in place to function well, for example, when I teach the Cyclopea Method or meditation, there is a system to follow for getting the best results. This structure includes money coming in and out.

  7. Planning and accountability are a must to deliver outstanding experiences for our clients.

  8. What I offer is not a transaction; it is a transformation. However, this transformation happens within a framework that includes several elements, making the experience of the person participating a very enlightening and rewarding one.

The Business Retreat was a first of this type for me and let me tell you, that was a very insightful one. Not only I learned more about sales, marketing, and money mindset, I also learned a lot about myself and my fellow participants. I reconfirmed that we all have ups and downs, and I experienced the power of being part of a group willing to help and collaborate.

With this article, I want to honor these women, they know who they are, they are changing the world one step at a time in their own unique and powerful way. The best is yet to come…
