Entrepreneurship! It needs a little nudge, but once you step into it, it's a roller coaster ride. In fact, sports entrepreneurship, in particular, has a lot of advantages of its own.

You can start off as an entrepreneur for any sports venture. This includes being the owner of a sports casino that interprets NFL week 10 odds or opening a full-fledged merchandise store.

Ofcourse, the domain you want to try depends on you. For a little motivation, here are five sports entrepreneurs that are worth taking inspiration from if you are a beginner:

Stewart Kenny, David Power, and John Corcoran

Stewart Kenny, David Power, and John Corcoran are the founders of the renowned global gambling company called Paddy Power. It was established in 1988 by these three Irish bookmakers as a merger of forty shops.

Since 1988, Paddy Power hasn't lost its popularity. They reported a £1.485 billion total last year, which was one-third more than the £1.126 billion revenue as of the 2020 first quarter.

Mark Cuban

Mark Cuban is the owner of an American professional basketball team called the Dallas Mavericks. He believes in having an entrepreneurial mindset, regardless of the highs and lows that one might face.

Cuban had been fired many times for his jobs, but still, he believed in himself. The result? He is now a billionaire, and his team values $2.7 billion, the ninth-highest in the NBA!

The takeaway from his story is that you should always find a way to be a calm leader during stressful times.

Phil Knight

Phil Knight is the owner of a popular sports accessories company called Nike. Knight started his journey by selling Japanese shoes. With his passion and abilities, he conquered the entrepreneurship world and went on to create a billion-dollar brand.

While Knight wasn't good at his sales job, he was pretty decent when it came to selling shoes. His hard work and dedication to shoe-selling made him a sports accessory tycoon!
