Yevheniya Shalimova

Executive Coach for Coherent Leadership

Yevheniya Shalimova's path to executive coaching began far from the boardroom. She was born in the former Soviet Union to parents who both served in the military and moved with her family to Ukraine in 1987.

She began travelling internationally in 1995 and studied at several Bible schools in the United Kingdom. From 1995 to 1998, she served as personal assistant to the chairman of an international Christian organisation, travelling across Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Israel. Her responsibilities included translating shipping contracts for 10-11 annual sailings between Ukraine and Israel, each valued at approximately USD 100,000.

She was later ordained as a pastor and served as a military chaplain in Ukraine from 2013 to 2015. More than 30 years in Christian ministry shaped her capacity to remain present with people under pressure and to honour the whole person behind a role or responsibility.

In 2019, Yevheniya began her professional path in coaching. When the war entered its full-scale phase in 2022, she relocated to Norway and rebuilt her life and professional path from the ground up - learning Norwegian, finding work, caring for her daughter, continuing to coach and study, and developing The Shalimova Method™.

Today, she is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), executive coach and founder of The Shalimova Method™. She has delivered more than 2,300 coaching hours to clients across 35 countries and coaches in English, Norwegian, Ukrainian and Russian. Her continuing education includes programmes in resilience, mental health, well-being and leadership offered by Harvard and Yale. She led the end-to-end Russian-language publication of two books - from publisher negotiations and translation to editorial production, launch presentations and international distribution. Operation Exodus was subsequently distributed across 22 countries on five continents. She partners with accomplished leaders to close the gap between outward success and inner fulfilment.
