Counsellor & Founder

Yeukai is a counsellor and the founder of Abundant Corner Counselling. She holds a BA in Behavioural Science and an MA in Counselling Psychology. As the youngest of eight children of immigrant parents, she grew up navigating a stutter and experiencing the stigma surrounding mental health in her community. With limited access to support, she learned early on how isolating it can feel to struggle in silence. These lived experiences shaped her commitment to representation, accessibility, and the belief that mental health care should be available to everyone, regardless of background.
 
Driven by her personal journey, Yeukai has dedicated her work to breaking down barriers and normalising conversations around emotional wellbeing. She creates relatable, easy-to-grasp mental health content designed to educate, support, and destigmatise therapy for people who may feel unseen or unheard. Through her writing and online presence, she aims to make mental health more visible and approachable, especially for individuals from marginalised and immigrant communities.
 
In her practice, Yeukai supports individuals navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, depression, PTSD, and trauma. She is trained in EMDR and has experience in trauma-related and crisis support work. Her approach is rooted in empathy, safety, and collaboration, helping clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to take steps toward healing. She is also working to expand her counselling services to reach more communities and create greater access to culturally sensitive mental health care.
 
Yeukai believes that mental health is not a luxury, and that everyone deserves support, understanding, and the chance to heal.
