Sharon Shergill
Psychotherapist, Founder of Therapy Hour
Sharon Shergill is an accredited psychotherapist specialising in Adult ADHD, and the founder of Therapy Hour. With a background in Health Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and training from the renowned Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre, she combines clinical expertise and lived experience to create a deeply empathetic, understanding space for her clients.
As a neurodivergent woman, she understands the invisible weight that comes with ADHD; the constant mental noise and exhausting effort to appear capable while internally overwhelmed, and gradual erosion of self-trust that follow years of misunderstanding. As someone who understands these challenges intimately, she delivers therapy that feels both grounded and deeply human.
The loss of her father to a stroke was a defining moment that deepened Sharon's commitment to helping others navigate life's challenges with resilience and self-compassion. It strengthened her belief that resilience is not about pushing through, but about learning to meet ourselves with compassion. As a mother of two, she understands the juggle of daily life, the pressure to "have it all together," and the importance of creating space for healing and growth amid the chaos.
Sharon founded Therapy Hour after recognising that while an ADHD diagnosis brings clarity, it does not heal years of internalised self-criticism or emotional overwhelm. Real change requires intentional therapy that helps individuals trust themselves and rewrite the narrative they hold about themselves.
