Shannon Kenrick-Rochon, MN, NP, is a Canadian Nurse Practitioner, healthcare entrepreneur, researcher and academic leader focused on redesigning how healthcare is delivered. At the centre of her work is a simple challenge to conventional healthcare thinking: hiring more people into poorly designed systems will not solve the capacity crisis.

Shannon's work focuses on designing new models of care that maximize the expertise of healthcare professionals, build effective interdisciplinary teams, integrate technology intelligently and challenge legacy roles and funding structures that can limit innovation.

She is the founder of healthcare ventures spanning women’s health, men’s health, sports and exercise medicine, and healthcare innovation. Prosper Health, Prosper Men’s Health and Move Medicine serve not only as clinical organizations, but as real-world environments for building and testing alternative approaches to care delivery. Through HealthOps Rx, Shannon translates these models and lessons into systems, tools and implementation strategies that can be adapted by other clinicians and healthcare organizations.

Shannon is also an Assistant Professor at NOSM University, where her work includes medical education, curriculum renewal, program evaluation and quality improvement. Her clinical and research expertise spans menopause and hormone therapy, concussion, sports medicine and musculoskeletal health. She is a published researcher, national speaker and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner.

Working across clinical practice, academia and entrepreneurship gives Shannon an unusual vantage point on healthcare improvement: she studies systems, works within them and builds alternatives to them. Her work asks a question that increasingly defines her approach to healthcare transformation: rather than asking how we find more people to sustain the system we have, what could healthcare look like if we redesigned the system itself?
