Dr. Santarvis Brown is a globally recognized scholar, executive leader, and visionary voice shaping the future of leadership, equity, and education. Known widely as The Leadership Doctor, he blends academic excellence with real-world impact – bridging boardrooms, classrooms, and communities with purpose and precision.

A full professor and Graduate Business Department Chair at Excelsior University, Dr. Brown also serves as a Visiting Scholar at the Rutgers University Samuel D. Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice, and a Distinguished Scholar-Practitioner at the European Institute of Higher Education. His teaching appointments have included Cornell University, Purdue University, the University of Virginia, Florida International University, and Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary, where he has inspired the next generation of global leaders.

Beyond academia, Dr. Brown leads The Equity & Elevation Collective™, a consulting and leadership development firm dedicated to advancing equity-centered strategy, institutional transformation, and organizational innovation. He also serves on multiple nonprofit boards, championing causes that strengthen families, expand educational access, and create systemic opportunity.

An award-winning author, Dr. Brown has published Leading While Limping, Brothers Minutes, Oh, the Leading You Will Do, The Equitable Edge: Redefining Power and Purpose in Leadership, and The Sacred Code, Strategy, and Power of the Modern Black Man. His thought leadership has been featured on magazine covers, the Nasdaq screen in Times Square, and international media platforms.

With a message that fuses intellect, empathy, and empowerment, Dr. Brown calls leaders to rise above convention – redefining success through equity, purpose, and courage.
