Founder & Managing Partner
Nicole Ananda is a Certified Surrogate Partner Therapist, holistic practitioner, and Founder & Managing Partner of Ananda Integrative Healing Group, the only group practice in the United States specializing in surrogate partner therapy (SPT). She developed a pioneering, trauma-informed approach to SPT that synthesizes the most up-to-date understanding of psychological, somatic, and relational healing, with a strong emphasis on body-based techniques and experiential integration.
With over three decades of personal transformation work and 15 years of professional experience in the healing arts, Nicole brings a deeply integrative methodology that combines surrogate partner therapy, somatic therapy, coaching, and energy-based modalities. Her work supports clients of all genders and orientations in addressing challenges such as trauma, social anxiety, low confidence, sexual functioning difficulties, body image concerns, and relational disconnection.
Nicole is known for her ability to create a highly attuned, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients can safely explore vulnerability and develop embodied confidence. Her approach focuses on helping individuals access their personal power, expand their capacity for intimacy, and build the skills necessary for authentic emotional and physical connection.
Building on the original surrogate partner therapy model developed by Masters and Johnson, Nicole has evolved the practice into a modern, holistic framework designed for the complexities of 21st-century relationships and mental health. Her extensive training includes certifications as a surrogate partner therapist, mind-body practitioner, NeuroSomatic Processing practitioner, Reiki Master, Advanced Integrated Energy Therapy practitioner, shamanic practitioner, and life coach.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Nicole is co-founder of the Surrogate Partner Collective, a professional network providing training, certification, continuing education, and advocacy for practitioners in the field. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Oberlin College and brings prior experience from both corporate and nonprofit sectors. Her work is grounded in the belief that deep healing occurs through compassion, embodied awareness, and the integration of mind, body, and relational experience.
