Neil Sheppard

Neil Sheppard is a Registered Kinesiologist (Ontario, Canada) and the founder of Dynamic Strength Rehab (DSR), a strength coaching practice based in Oakville, Ontario. With more than 20 years of experience helping people rebuild after injury, surgery, and discharge from physiotherapy, Neil built his career around a gap he kept seeing play out the same way, over and over: patients would finish physiotherapy able to move again, pain-free in the short term, but never actually rebuild the strength needed to stay that way. Months later, the same pain, the same instability, the same injury, would return.
 
DSR was built to close that gap. Neil calls it strength rehab — the step most people miss between finishing physiotherapy and truly getting their life back. Rather than generic training programs, every plan at DSR is built around a client's specific injury history, movement patterns, and long-term goals, informed by Neil's clinical background as a Registered Kinesiologist.
 
Neil works with clients across a wide range of needs: post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, injury prevention, and general strength and longevity training for people who simply want to stay capable and pain-free as they age. He offers private, one-on-one coaching at his Oakville studio, as well as virtual coaching through DSR's app-based platform, extending his coaching to clients beyond Ontario as strength and movement coaching rather than a regulated clinical service.
 
Neil's philosophy is simple: getting someone moving again is only half the job. The other half — the half most programs skip — is making sure they're actually strong enough that the problem doesn't come back. He works with clients whether they're 25 or 75, building programs that meet them exactly where they are, both physically and in terms of their goals.
