Ljubica Tasic Kennedy
Systemic Family Therapist
Ljubica's professional path brings together education, psychology, systemic family therapy and an ongoing exploration of emerging technologies. Ljubica holds a BA in Preschool Education from the University of Belgrade, completed additional studies in psychology and four years of specialist training in systemic family therapy, and holds the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP).
Her therapeutic practice includes work with individuals, couples and families, with particular experience in intercultural relationships, anxiety, chronic stress and burnout, professional transitions and career change. She works in Serbian and English, supporting people across diverse cultural, family and professional contexts. Her approach draws on systemic, narrative and collaborative ideas, viewing therapy as a space for dialogue, reflection and meaningful change.
Alongside her therapeutic practice, she works as a systemic practitioner in private schools in Belgrade. Her background in education gives her a particular perspective on the relationships between students, families, teachers and institutions, and on schools as part of larger human systems. Her areas of interest include family conflict, school dynamics, teacher burnout, workplace stress and the effects of overlapping roles and blurred boundaries on wellbeing.
Her interest in emerging technologies grew from working closely with students and young adults. She completed an MIT Professional Education: No Code AI and Machine Learning programme, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Digital Education. She is particularly interested in understanding how technology is changing learning, relationships and everyday life, and in promoting thoughtful, responsible and human-centred approaches to its use.
She is one of the founders of ROOTherapy, a regional community dedicated to promoting systemic therapy and expanding access to mental health support across Serbia and Croatia.
