Sport Psychology Specialist & Licensed Psychologist & Forensic

Lindsay Coyle, PhD is a licensed psychologist specializing in forensic psychology, psychological assessment, and sport psychology/mental performance. She is licensed in California (CA PSY 24109), Colorado (CO PSY 0005096), New Mexico (NM PSY 0092), Florida (FL PSY 12505), and Nevada (NV PY 1190), and is Board Certified in Sports Psychology through the American Board of Sports Psychology (2025). Dr. Coyle earned her PhD in Forensic Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, following earlier training in psychology at Purdue University.

Dr. Coyle is the founder of LJC Psychological Services Group, where she conducts court-ordered evaluations across multiple states, provides psychological assessment with adult and juvenile populations, delivers consultation and trial consulting, and completes specialized evaluations including bariatric assessments. Her career includes forensic and clinical psychologist roles with the California Department of State Hospitals and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, including work at Atascadero State Hospital and Salinas Valley State Prison, where she conducted competency and other court-involved evaluations, provided program consultation, supported treatment teams, and contributed to training and supervision.

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Coyle served as adjunct faculty and a dissertation advisor, has experience in test development and item writing, and has presented research through the American Psychological Association. She was recognized with a Sustained Excellence Award for correctional care. Her work and writing emphasize practical, evidence-based tools for performance, decision-making, and mental health in high-stakes environments.

Outside of her professional roles, Dr. Coyle is also a coach and athlete who values disciplined training and sustainable performance. She is an avid outdoors person, and she is an animal lover—interests that reflect her belief in resilience, recovery, and the importance of connection and wellbeing beyond work.
