Jeanette Walton

Career Brand Consultant

As a Career Brand Consultant for the past 12+ years, based in Melbourne, Australia, Jeanette Walton has helped a wide range of professionals to enhance their career prospects (across multiple markets, industries and professions). After recently identifying a gap in the global career development market, she designed a career branding framework to help professionals define and apply (and speak and exemplify) their own unique career brand. To help them stand out in high-volume promotion and engagement environments, and to bolster self-belief in their professional offerings. This includes job seekers, industry networkers, customer lead generators, business founders and owners, and industry thought leaders.

Jeanette is an avid advocate of career branding, whether sharing online insights, producing newsletters and eBooks, featuring on podcasts, partnering with industry alliances, or delivering educational presentations. The audiences she has presented to include the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR), the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering (AATSE), and Swinburne University. She also continues to provide complementary editing services to multiple tertiary institutions including Swinburne, Deakin and Charles Darwin universities.

Jeanette knows the importance of clear, consistent career branding for all professionals. Some of the markets where her clients have been based include India, Thailand, Germany, England, Malaysia and the USA. Her industry exposure includes IT, finance, real estate and property management, construction, logistics, healthcare, HR, legal, education, engineering, government, hospitality, research, community services and boards of executives.

In an extracurricular context, Jeanette fosters dogs of all shapes and sizes, and regularly visits and engages with an aged care resident (a nonagenarian no less). She also recently co-established a LinkedIn Local networking group that she co-facilitates in her local area.
