Jack O'Connor is the Founder and Managing Principal of O'Connor Health Solutions, a national healthcare consulting firm specializing in cardiovascular and neuroscience service line strategy, physician alignment, and ambulatory surgery center development. He built the firm on a simple conviction: strategy that ignores the physician at the bedside is not strategy. It is theater.

His path to the boardroom began in the back of an ambulance. Jack started his career as an EMT and paramedic, advanced to cardiovascular perfusionist, and then spent more than twenty-five years in progressive health system executive leadership. He has launched and scaled structural heart programs, TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and led service lines through growth, turnaround, and transformation. He knows what it means to hold a heart in his hands and a P&L on his desk, and he brings both perspectives to every engagement.

Jack is the creator and director of the Physician Leadership Academy, a comprehensive physician executive development curriculum designed to move clinicians from the bedside to the boardroom without losing what made them trusted at the bedside.

He is the author of Career Derailers and multiple works on leadership, servant leadership, and physician executive development, and he publishes two LinkedIn newsletters: Pulse & Strategy, for health system executives, and Leadership Rounds, for emerging physician leaders.

As a speaker, Jack addresses healthcare boards, executive teams, and physician audiences on service line strategy, leadership derailment, and the discipline of rebuilding after professional setback. His message is direct: careers do not fail from lack of talent. They fail from unexamined blind spots.

Jack holds an MHA from Seton Hall University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is based in Florida.
