Helen Shale
Clinical Hypnotherapist & Master Life Coach
Unhealthy workplaces are symptoms of failing organisations as employees are unable to engage, innovate, and perform. More disturbing is that unchecked 'bad behaviours' lead to significant yet totally preventable stress, anxiety and physical harm to employees which costs organisations. In her clinical hypnotherapy practice Helen Shale coaches people completely emotionally and physically exhausted and very unwell. She decided to commit to working further up the chain to prevent the devastating impact of workplace stress on employee health - at all levels of organisations. Her programmes are informed by 25 years as an internal communications specialist within the corporate, government, trade and not-for-profit organisations. Blending the two careers enables an informed, commercially practical and meaningful approach to workplace redesign, looking at organisations in a '5D' context to transform them so that employees feel 'wired in', 'heard', valued and meaningfully supported. They are then able to make better decisions, innovate, and create new and higher value solutions. Helen's Connection Engineering model is '5D' as the ramifications of a workplace redesign extend way beyond the organisation itself. For employees, a more fulfilling working environment positively affects the emotional health of their families, partners and other relationships and their ability to realise their potential - personally as well as professionally. A high performing 'Connected' organisation demonstrates to others the benefits of looking after their people to others, including reduced personnel turnover, and increased commercial or performance value of the organisation through more innovative products, service, and performance.
