Fereshta Ramsey

Rock Poet and Relational Alchemist

Fereshta Ramsey is a relational educator, peace activist, and rock poet devoted to understanding what happens between humans under pressure—and what it takes to stay connected without abandoning ourselves.

A refugee and war child born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Fereshta has spent much of her life exploring human conflict up close: the protective strategies we reach for under stress, the patterns we inherit and repeat, what has been left unsaid, and the quiet wars we wage in our high-stakes relationships. Her work draws from attachment science, shadow work, nervous system intelligence, developmental science, and interpersonal neurobiology.

She explores these questions through both her relational work and her songwriting: What do we protect? What are we afraid to say? What becomes possible when we stop abandoning ourselves and stay in each other’s care? Through both, Fereshta practices the art of radical truth-telling, being fully expressed, and boldly sharing what is alive for her—as an invitation and possibility for others.

But this work is never theoretical. She believes relationships are the laboratory. People don’t just explore the idea of relational intelligence with her—they do the reps, training the capacity to tell the truth, stay present through discomfort, repair what matters, and remain in relationship when tension rises.

Fereshta works with individuals, couples, leaders, and teams to surface what has been left unsaid and see what’s actually happening underneath the surface. With leaders and teams, she brings this depth into the workplace, helping people surface what is getting in the way of trust, collaboration, honest conversation, and what they are capable of—and build the capacity to change it before those patterns cost the organization its best work.

Before devoting her work to relational education, Fereshta built a career in finance across corporate settings and nonprofits. She knows these environments from the inside—and what happens when the human stuff gets pushed underground. Because performance, pressure, and power don’t just shape the room—they get inside people.

When we ask humans to abandon themselves and stop being human—we have a serious problem.

Fereshta believes emotional and relational intelligence are not soft skills. They are among the most undervalued—and most powerful—skills we can develop as humans in relationship. Because our capacity to relate matters. Her work is rigorous, deeply human, and dynamic—ultimately in service of ending the quiet wars that keep us disconnected from one another.
