Duncan Brand is a nationally recognized leadership, talent, and organizational effectiveness expert with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations build high-performance, people-first cultures amid rapid change. His work sits at the intersection of leadership development, talent strategy, and organizational systems—supporting executives as they navigate complexity, scale, and transformation with clarity and humanity.

Duncan has partnered with executive teams across global technology, healthcare, aerospace, public sector, and professional services organizations, designing and leading enterprise talent strategies spanning leadership development, succession planning, performance management, workforce planning, and inclusion. Known for his calm executive presence and practical insight, he works closely with senior leaders to translate strategy into action—strengthening leadership pipelines, improving engagement and retention, and embedding inclusive practices that deliver sustainable results.

He is the Founder of Intrinsic Leader, where he advises organizations, including Toyota, Applied Materials, Fannie Mae, and national healthcare systems, on building future-ready leadership capability. Previously, Duncan held senior talent and organizational effectiveness roles at Cisco, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Swedish Healthcare, and Unify Consulting, delivering measurable impact, including improved bench strength, accelerated internal mobility, reduced attrition, and stronger leadership effectiveness.

Duncan holds an MBA and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership and is a certified executive coach. He is the author of Mind the Gap, a practical guide for leaders seeking to move beyond outdated management models and build cultures grounded in trust, growth, and accountability. As a Brainz Magazine Executive Contributor, Duncan writes on leadership, talent, performance, and the human systems that shape organizational success in today’s evolving world of work.
