Dhruti Patel

Physical therapist

Dr. Dhruti Patel, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist with over a decade of experience specializing in geriatric rehabilitation, fall prevention, and healthy aging. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University and has since dedicated her career to empowering older adults through mobility, education, and holistic wellness.

Dr. Patel’s expertise spans home health, post-acute care, and community-based physical therapy, with a focus on evidence-based interventions that help seniors maintain independence and reduce their risk of falls. Her clinical philosophy blends science with compassion and recognizing that restoring strength is not just physical, but emotional and social as well.

She is the co-founder and Clinical Director of Safe Steps Foundation, a nonprofit organization launched in Ahmednagar, India. Though still in its early stages, the foundation is built on a clear mission: to enhance mobility, reduce fall risk, and support caregivers through community-centered programming. Safe Steps aims to implement structured movement and wellness routines, train local caregivers, and raise awareness around safe aging practices. The organization plans to expand across India reaching places where seniors can benefit from expert-led, accessible elder care solutions.

As an Executive Contributor to Brainz Magazine, Dr. Patel shares practical strategies, professional insights, and thought leadership on topics including aging with dignity, movement as medicine, and the evolving global landscape of elder care. Her mission is to redefine aging so that it is not as a stage of decline, but as a season of resilience, purpose, and possibility.
