Craig Buboltz

Sports Hypnotherapist & Mental Performance Coach

Craig Buboltz is a certified hypnotherapist specializing in mental performance for athletes and the founder of Top Sport Hypnosis. His journey began during a trip with two psychiatrists who introduced him to hypnosis. These hypnosis sessions were so profound that he was deeply drawn to the practice and the idea of using hypnosis for athletic performance.

He then began studying hypnotherapy at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the oldest and only accredited school in the U.S. He graduated with honors with a diploma in clinical hypnotherapy. He also specialized in sports hypnosis, Ericksonian hypnosis, and therapeutic imagery.

Craig’s educational background extends beyond hypnotherapy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education, is a certified coach, and earned a Master’s degree from Buffalo State University, with a focus on multidisciplinary studies. Over more than 25 years, his career has spanned continents: he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, worked as a tennis professional in Saipan, and taught at international schools in London, Berlin, Quito, and Washington, D.C.

Today, Craig calls Florida home, where he works virtually with athletes through Top Sport Hypnosis. His global and cross-disciplinary background has shaped a unique approach to mental performance that integrates hypnosis with research-based sports psychology and proven mental training tools—including breathwork, meditation, intentional language, and visualization. By working with the subconscious mind, hypnosis enhances these tools and helps athletes break through mental barriers that can interfere with performance.

Craig’s approach also connects hypnosis with the flow state, helping athletes develop greater control over their mental states before, during, and after competition. This distinctive combination goes beyond traditional mental performance coaching, giving athletes the tools to access their potential, perform with greater consistency, and command their mental state both on and off the field.
