Chavalia D. Mwamba is a Texas-born Perfumer, Olfactory Storyteller and musician with over 20 years of experience in the art of translating emotion, memory, and culture into fragrance. As the founder of Pink MahogHany, a melanin-owned niche fragrance house, Chavalia has carved a distinctive path in the industry by blending storytelling with scent design, creating soul-stirring perfumes that speak directly to the senses.

Self-taught and deeply intuitive, her journey began with a passion for music at the age of 4 and evolved into crafting olfactory compositions that carry narrative weight. From rich ancestral tributes to abstract emotional landscapes, her fragrances serve as intimate portals into identity and connection. Her alcohol-free formulations - including a youth-friendly eau de toilette co-created with her 10-year-old twin sons, affectionately called her “TwinTerns”, represent her commitment to safe, inclusive, and emotionally resonant perfumery.

As a melanin entrepreneur and creative, Chavalia is passionate about expanding representation within the fragrance world. She has extended her mission beyond the bottle, conducting hands-on fragrance labs and lecturing at institutions like Atlanta Georgia's Spelman College, to inspire the next generation of scent-makers.
