Brian Daniel South uses magic to help kids put down their devices, look up and connect with others.

While his peers were playing soccer, learning chess and taking piano lessons, Brian was taking after-school magic lessons at the local library. By the time he was in high school, he was performing at parties, fairs, and the local theme park.

After over a decade of performing full-time, Brian started inventing original illusions and consulting other magicians. His creations have appeared on the Las Vegas Strip and television programs including America's Got Talent and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. One of his patented inventions was even performed in outer space!

After graduating with a degree in Creative Marketing, Brian’s consulting extended beyond the world of magic into international brands, theme parks, game manufacturers, and publishing companies.

But Brian's passion for magic eventually led him back to where it all started and toward something even more meaningful: Teaching kids magic and using it to help children connect with others.

As the author of Teach By Magic and a co-founder of Discover Magic, an award-winning educational program that has introduced more than 250,000 children worldwide to the art of magic, Brian has seen firsthand how learning a simple magic trick can become a powerful tool for personal growth.

That same passion is at the heart of Magic Explorers, where Brian brings his creativity, magic, and love of teaching together to design engaging, screen-free Magic Activity Packs that help children build confidence, strengthen communication skills, develop empathy, and experience the joy of sharing magic with others.

For Brian, the real magic isn't simply learning how a trick works. It's watching a child find the courage to perform it, seeing the excitement of someone experiencing wonder, and recognizing how a shared moment can bring people together.

Through Magic Explorers, Brian hopes to inspire a generation of children to spend less time in the virtual world with the illusion of being connected and to spend more time in the real world forming true human connections!
