Barakat Olaniyan is a fashion designer, creative director, and founder of BethanyKulture, a fashion brand built on the belief that fashion is a powerful language for expressing identity, preserving heritage, and telling stories.
With a background in fashion design, UI/UX, and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Barakat brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her creative work. Her understanding of human needs, visual communication, color theory, and user experience influences how she approaches fashion, from selecting colors and developing silhouettes to considering comfort, functionality, and the smallest design details.

Through BethanyKulture, she has developed more than 100 custom designs, exploring the intersection of cultural heritage and contemporary style. Her creative process spans sketching, pattern development, fabric exploration, and garment construction, transforming initial ideas into thoughtfully crafted pieces.
Morolayo has presented her work through fashion showcases, including her participation in New York Fashion Week in 2026. These experiences continue to shape her creative direction and strengthen her commitment to developing a distinctive design identity.
