Ayana M. Ames, owner of Am.A-line Collections, a transitional brand designed for the modern man, is a multifaceted creative professional as both a designer and photographer. Ayana is driven by science, innovation, and community. Pursuing her passion for sustainability, Ayana has become a circular fashion advocate, championing redesign and repair to extend the life of our clothing through her brand. She graduated from The University of Alabama with a focus in apparel and textile design and a minor in fine art photography; and, a Master’s in sustainability with a concentration in energy and materials management from The University of Oklahoma. As a circular fashion advocate, Ayana also leads Sew Valley’s Zero Waste Program that diverts textile waste from the landfill. She continues to exhibit a heart of service and source of inspiration for others through education and community programs. As a member of the Midwest Apparel Creative Foundation and Robert O’Neal Multicultural Arts Center teaching artist, Ayana mentors and shares her experience with the next generation of creatives.
