Dr. Asha Martin – Bringing World-Class Cancer Care to the Caribbean

As a medical oncologist and hematologist with over a decade of experience, my mission has always been clear: to deliver first-world cancer care in resource-limited settings. Born and raised in the Commonwealth of Dominica, my journey took me to Camagüey, Cuba, for my medical degree, where I learned the power of resilience and innovation. Later, at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, I honed my expertise in hematology and oncology, deepening my passion for treating cancers such as breast, colon, and prostate cancer, as well as blood disorders like multiple myeloma and anemia.

Since 2022, I’ve been practicing in St. Lucia, splitting my time between the island’s main public hospital and my private practice, Sabinea Rose Haem-Onc Services Ltd. My goal? To make specialized care accessible and easy to understand. That’s why I launched my website in 2025—to empower patients and caregivers with clear, reliable information.
