When I think about what it means to truly live from your heart, I think of love. But what exactly does that mean? What does love mean to you?

For me, love means embodying unconditional love for yourself and others. It is letting go of expectations, resentments, pain or negative feelings. This can be a challenging task since we have all endured experiences that hurt us at different points in our lives. When we have the courage to face our pain, learn to forgive ourselves and others and love ourselves for what we have been through, then we can begin to love without conditions. We can love for the sake of loving without expecting anything in return. When we come from unconditional love, we learn patience, compassion, acceptance and empathy. We inherit true wisdom that we are all connected in this human experience. Our soul is made from love.

Embodying unconditional love helps keep our ego in check. We have more awareness of our intentions and the choices that we make. We can connect to our heart and ask: “Are my intentions pure? Is this choice in alignment with my values?” We gain more clarity about our lives and have more direction for where we are going. As we make choices from our heart we also strengthen our inner power because we are connecting to our true essence. Unconditional love will always keep us in a higher frequency and aligned to our highest path.

Living from your heart brings fulfillment in ways you cannot imagine. We choose to see the good in the world. We recognize the divine in ourselves and in others. We have more ease and flow because we release things we cannot control. We see things from a higher perspective because we understand we all have lessons to learn while we are here. Connecting to the love inside of us is pretty incredible all on its own but it also brings moments of pure joy, more happiness, connection, peace and purpose. It gives us an unwavering belief in a higher power greater than ourselves, an awareness of how loved and supported we truly are and a deeper faith in humanity.

Start embodying unconditional love today. Choose your words and actions from a place of love. Ask yourself, is there inner healing work I need to do to make better choices to stay connected to my heart?

At the end of the day, all that really matters is love.
