A fortuitous quantum computing mistake describes parallel lives. The protection of data in computer systems has been a long-studied and challenging aspect of computer science. A happy mistake led researchers to open a portal to an extra time dimension. This was not the original plan. An article in Scientific American introduces the reader to the intricate world of digital fallback when it comes to quantum computing and the capabilities that emerge in an experiment concerning ‘phase creation’ as a way to handle and preserve data.[1]

A series of ornate blue doors floating in space, opening into a vibrant, purple-lit void. Planets and galaxies form the ethereal backdrop.

Standard versus quantum computing has distinct variations in the way data is recorded, handled, and saved. In standard computing, information is encoded in a string of 0’s and 1’s. The power of quantum computing lies in its ability to store values as 0 or 1 or both at the same time. Quantum computers encode information in the state of each qubit in an internal quantum property of a particle called spin, which can point up (1) or down (0) or in both directions at the same time. The problem is that any stray magnetic field can flip spins.

To create a more error-proof quantum system, information can be stored across the material globally and not confined to a qubit. Constructing a strand of ten qubits in a vacuum chamber, with lasers tightly controlling their positions and states, is a standard technique used by physicists to manipulate ions. Similar to how a steady drumbeat can keep multiple dancers in rhythm, simple time symmetry can be created by imparting periodic kicks to the ions, all lined up in one dimension, with regularly repeating laser pulses. The thought is to protect the quantum processor from errors.

When the investigators ran a program to see whether the state of the qubits matched their original predictions, they found that the periodic laser pulses were amplifying tiny hiccups in the system, making small disruptions even worse. The next step was to apply a pattern of ordered pulses, which was based on the Fibonacci Sequence, in which the next number in the sequence is the sum of the previous two.

This new system can be visualized as two lasers pulsing with two different frequencies that ensure the pulses never temporally overlap. Calculations from the theoretical side imagined two independent collections of beats along two separate timelines, each collection effectively pulsing in its own time dimension. As a visual example, each of the two different time dimensions can be traced on the surface of a torus. The quasiperiodic nature of the dual timelines becomes clear because they each wrap around the torus again and again at a weird angle that never repeats itself. They found that this program protected the data for the full length of the test.

When I read this article, I was drawn to the fact that two different time dimensions happening in the same pulsed area were acting according to their unique frequencies as imparted by laser energy. To me, this was clearly a description and nod to the parallel universes that I encounter and move to when reading someone in a healing session. To see it clearly described in scientific terms was a revelation that stuck with me. What they described to me was the potential operating frequencies of parallel lives, each being lived in a different set of frequencies and yet originating from dually spinning particles in two different levels of time.

Quantum computing and metaphysics: Pulsed time dimension and parallel lives

In the realms of metaphysics, many authors have explored and provided instances of dual existence. Although time does not permit an extensive review in this report, pertinent references are included that point to ways that our existence is multidimensional across lifetimes. I have attempted to point to metaphysical writers who come closest to expressing ideas similar in spirit to ‘two lives in different frequency bands.’ This presentation is broken down into two areas, analogy and related authors.

Analogy

An analogy between two levels of time in quantum computing and parallel lives.

In quantum timing, data is protected by arranging operations so that information exists in distinct pulse sequences. The key idea is that a separation in time and space creates parallel tracks that can carry information with reduced interference. The system is designed so that what happens in one channel does not catastrophically disturb the other, allowing a form of redundancy, protection, or multiplexing.

In metaphysical ‘parallel lives’ ideas, a similar structural motif appears in that there are multiple realizations or strands of self-life that unfold in different contexts, times, or planes.

These strands can be seen as operating somewhat independently, each with its own causal and experiential thread, while contributing to a larger, unified sense of self over a broader temporal framework.

Both viewpoints posit a single underlying entity (data, or a soul/identity) that can be distributed across distinct channels (temporal pulses/modes in quantum systems; lifetimes, planes, or frequencies in metaphysical schemas) to achieve robustness, depth, or multiplicity without direct, destabilizing interference.

Caveats include that the quantum ‘two levels of time’ result is a concrete, experimentally grounded technique in physics and engineering. It relies on precise control, decoherence management, and reproducible physical processes. Parallel lives are a metaphysical, non-empirical framework. Its claims are about consciousness, identity, and the nature of reality, not testable in the same way as quantum experiments. Therefore, the analogy is metaphorical. It can illuminate conceptual parallels (multiplexing, non-interference, distinct but coexisting streams) but doesn’t imply a claim that quantum timing literally corresponds to reincarnation or soul architecture.

Related authors

Metaphysical authors who describe ideas resonant with two lives in different frequency bands or, more broadly, parallel, layered selves.

  • Rudolf Steiner (Anthroposophy): Often speaks of multi-layered constituents of the human being (physical body, etheric body, astral body, I) and of spiritual realities that unfold in time across rebirth cycles. His language about different ‘bodies’ occupying different planes of reality across lifetimes maps well to the idea of parallel tracks that influence each other without direct, simplistic merging.

  • Sri Aurobindo (Integral yoga) and communally shared multiple levels of consciousness connected by intellectual threads: Here we find notions of evolving consciousness across planes of existence and multiple levels of reality. This can feel analogous to operating in different vibrational/energetic strata that provide shape but do not collapse into one another in a single lifetime.

  • Theosophical lineage (Blavatsky, Besant, Leadbeater): Theosophy routinely employs imagery of overlapping planes, kama (desire), manas (mind), buddhi (spiritual intellect), and higher hierarchies. Several passages describe subtle bodies and multi-astral layers that can be read as parallels to “different frequency bands” within a single spiritual framework.

  • Tibetan Buddhist concepts (bardo, reincarnation, etc.): The bardo states and the intermediate realms are not linear lifetimes, but transitional states that can be likened to parallel channels of experience existing within a broader continuum. The idea that consciousness traverses multiple states could be read as a loose analogue to parallel tracks in time.

  • Michael Newton and Brian Weiss (modern past-life regression narrations): While oriented toward individual psychotherapy, their descriptions of ‘life between lives,’ soul groups, and planned lifetimes imply a structured multi-life architecture that resembles multiplexed streams of existence, albeit framed in therapeutic rather than strictly metaphysical terms.

What we can look forward to

As progress in scientific discoveries continues and quantum computing plus AI become part of our lives, we may be able to witness within discoveries the miracles of sight into other dimensions. Although I spend time in other dimensions, channeling through star beings, conversing with ETs, and communing with Source, I still retain an intense interest in science, as I spent my career immersed in it. As the connections and similarities between science and spirituality become more evident, life as we know it becomes more exciting to me. These are very interesting times, and as the veil continues to get thinner while science gets closer to metaphysical theories, stay tuned and look forward to being amazed.
