Tessa Grazzini, Mental Health Expert and CEO of Free Young Minds

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

"I've always been fascinated by the human mind and its immense potential. Though I initially aspired to be a doctor, my path diverged into marketing and entrepreneurship before circling back to my first love: helping others. My background is as diverse as my interests – born to Italian parents, I was raised across Belgium, America, and South America. This eclectic upbringing honed my adaptability and gifted me fluency in four languages. Outside of my professional endeavours, I find joy and balance in family time, Kundalini yoga, and meditation."

What inspired you to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Rapid Transformational Therapist, and Neuroscience Coach with a mission to eliminate unnecessary suffering?

"My journey in becoming a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational Therapist was deeply personal. It began with my son's learning challenges. Witnessing his struggles and the potential impact on his self-esteem, I sought alternative therapies. This quest led me to the transformative powers of hypnotherapy and neuroscience coaching, igniting a passion to alleviate unnecessary suffering in others."

Could you share more about your wealth of experience in working with teenagers? What motivated you to focus on this age group?

"I focus on teenagers because early intervention can reshape futures. With alarming statistics indicating that 58% of mental health issues begin by age 14, my mission is to provide timely, transformative support. Through hypnotherapy and coaching, I equip young minds to manage their emotions and thoughts, fostering resilience and empowering them to shape their destinies."

As the CEO and Co-Founder of Free Young Minds, can you elaborate on the mission and goals of the organization? How does it seek to inspire, educate, and empower young adults?

"As a co-founder of Free Young Minds, our goal is simple yet profound: normalize therapy for teenagers and make it accessible. We aim to educate them about the power of their minds and provide accessible tools for emotional wellbeing and self-improvement. Ultimately, all teenagers want to be happy, and we help them achieve it. Our ongoing efforts include developing comprehensive programs for widespread impact."

Your bio mentions that you are an advocate of the power of the mind. How do you incorporate this philosophy into your therapeutic and coaching practices?

"My philosophy centres on the power of the mind. I begin each session by explaining how the mind works. Educating clients about the mind's ability to shape reality is pivotal. We delve into understanding and reversing negative thought patterns, emphasizing the profound impact of positive thinking on unlocking potential."

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

"A defining moment in my career was being invited to speak at an NHS webinar. Addressing a distinguished audience of doctors and psychotherapists about aiding individuals with depression and suicidal tendencies was both an honour and a testament to the effectiveness of my therapeutic approach."

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

"If I could bring one change to my field, it would be to enhance the recognition and trust in hypnotherapy, especially for young people. Broadening awareness of its benefits could revolutionize how we approach mental wellness in our society."
