Gina, let’s hear more about you, what is most important to you in life?
First and foremost, my faith. I make my relationship with God a priority. I have not always been as focused on this as I am today but can say it makes a world of difference in the quality of life. My family is also a huge priority. My “four core” includes my husband Rod, and two daughters Addison and Avery. We are super close and have been able to endure so much together. Our extended family is great too and I am blessed to have close relationships with most of my family. Strong friendships and community as well as a positive work culture is also very important.
Recently you were part of a book project to help network marketers. Tell us more about this project and specifically your chapter.
Yes! The book series is called Momentum Makers and it gives aspiring business builders a tremendous amount of inspiration and motivation. Each contributing author gives insight into how they were able to get bigger and better results. I shared more about my personal journey and how I was led to the network marketing profession. The particular book I am a part of is about “Team Building” so each author gives tips on building strong teams. I love that it includes over 20 top industry leaders from many different companies. You have reached great success with network marketing. I understand that you are among the top 100 income earners for your company and have earned over 1 million in cumulative earnings. Why do you think many people struggle with reaching success in this industry?
That is a great question. The reason many people struggle is because often people view it too casually and they don’t really commit to learning the skills and building their belief in the industry and in themselves. So many people expect way too much too soon and quit without really ever putting in the amount of effort needed to reach a level of growth and success. Most careers take 2-4 years of schooling or training, some more, yet with this industry people often start it and expect that they will have immediate success. I truly committed to personal development, and learning the skills, I also stayed consistent and treated it like I was the CEO of my own business, therefore the results came. A big part of being successful is mindset.
Mindset is a term that gets thrown around often. How would you explain it to someone that is struggling in this area?
It boils down to how we think. Our thoughts are so important. Often, we are on autopilot with our thoughts, and operate on a subconscious level. It takes work to create the habit of conscious thinking. When we think about what we want we also must attach the feeling or emotion, this is a step people usually skip. Studying and living by the teachings in Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill would be my top recommendation. I don’t believe EVERYTHING is a result of our thoughts, but I do believe MOST of our life is created by design, and the design is the process of our thoughts, habits, and actions.
Tell us more about being a Maxwell Certified Coach. How do you help others through this program?
Certified Members of the John Maxwell Team are licensed to speak, coach and train others using content, resources and materials from Dr. John C. Maxwell, the 1 Leadership Expert in the world. I chose this course because I am passionate about leadership in general and truly want to help others lead and find success. It has been a perfect fit to enhance my leadership with network marketing while also developing another avenue to serve.
What are you focusing on at this moment?
My main focus when it comes to my work has been in mentoring others to partner with the business model of network marketing. The pandemic really hurt families financially. I have several business owners who are looking to create another stream of income, I also have many parents who want to make extra income to pay for private school or to save for family vacations. It has been really great to offer people a solution, and one that they can start now and create an income asset that grows over time. More and more people are seeing the importance of leveraged income, and it truly lights me up!
