5 Keys To Experience An Exceptional New Year

So there we were, by the seashore, smelling the ocean breeze and digging our feet into the sand as the cold, moist air blew in and the tides shifted. It was 2011, and Gabriel and I were doing our flavour of a New Year’s celebration.

We were in Wexford, Ireland and had a horse, a bright-eyed foal, and a beautiful rottweiler called Nasher with Us at the housesitting hobby farm we were tending to for 3 months. As we sat there reflecting on our year and where we wanted life to go, we carved out our goals and aligned our intentions. We didn’t set any traditional resolutions that year because there really wasn’t anything from the previous year to dissolve and resolve. Life had unfolded divinely. Even with all the twists and turns life brought us it was all a part of a bigger plan to get us to this exact moment, place and experience! It then occurred to us…instead of New Year’s “Resolutions” each year...let’s create a New Year’s Evolution!

You see...so many people set BIG goals for themselves and their life! Significant changes they want to make based on what didn’t work from the year past, hoping to resolve something in their life that they didn’t like so that a new and brighter year could result.

Then, as January and February unfold, many hopeful new habits fall by the wayside, and cyclical patterns resume. Another year passes by. Another year of disappointment, another year of goals unfulfilled, and another year ahead to make things better.

The cycle then starts ALL over again.

This cycle not only needed to be broken, but it also needed to be completed and a whole new paradigm put in its place! And so our new “New Year’s Evolution” landed! It has supported, inspired, moved and elevated thousands of clients over the years...helping them step into powerful versions of themselves and genuinely manifest and experience their goals, intentions, dreams and aspirations!

The Keys to Having a Miraculous, Exceptional Year…Ready for them?!

1. Be willing to look past the definitive start and stop of a year.

There is SO much pressure to succeed by a specific date that if you don’t achieve the goal by that date, there’s a feeling of failure. This feeling triggers more thoughts of failure and self-judgment, creating further feelings of failure and instilling a cycle that goes on and on. This reminds me of our midwives about planning the birth. You could have the best plans, but when it’s “GO-TIME” and the water breaks, all plans are out of the window, and the power of the present moment takes over! You have to shift, pivot, breathe, and adapt. There is no definitive plan when it comes to labour!

Moments of pressure surface, and thoughts about whether you will make it pop into your mind. Old patterns and habits that are well-practiced attempt to regroup and re-grow. You must be willing to grow past the hiccups and stop self-sabotage cycles by evolving UP and OUT of the cycle itself!

Gabriel and I prefer to see life as an infinite spiral. Ever-evolving, rising, growing…where life gets better and better! Where we have more than enough time. More than enough energy. More than enough resources to get done the things we are inspired by!

You will find that this simple shift will elevate your energy, take the pressure off (unless you love putting the heat on to get things done), and you’ll love what you’re creating and transforming into!

2. Set the tone and be willing to evolve it as you grow throughout the year!

This way of thinking was a game-changer for me! I used to set a word intention for the year. I’m sure you’ve heard of this practice before. I loved it as it was a powerful anchor to bring me back to what I wanted to accomplish that year.

However, as I would create and fulfill specific goals, I would need to grow through that anchor word and be drawn to another one. My “little mind” would say, “No, remember Tara, this is your WORD for THIS year.” Right. But wait for a second…

Life is a beautiful, infinite spiral that is ever-unfolding, where I’m ever-evolving and growing. Perhaps I’ve outgrown that word “ahead of schedule”! The moment I remembered this…I felt immense freedom! I can re-write and choose again!

Choosing a theme or anchor word would serve this journey's next phase!

Just because you set a word at the onset of a new year doesn’t mean you can’t evolve past it and choose a new one during that year! Be open to evolve your word to match the tone of what you’re stepping into next!

3. Be open to each day being a New Year moment!

What if you fall off the new-practice wagon or into an old habit? Then what?

You don’t have to wait until your birthday or a new year to reset. You have the power, and gift, of a new year moment each and every day! You wake up to a new “now moment” each day and several times within each day!

Simply reset your action, your thinking, the past pattern, and the direction you’re heading. Take a deep breath, meditate, use EFT, energy-clearing techniques, or the power of your mind to release and clear the old! Then choose differently!

Make each reset moment as potent as New Year’s Eve!

4. Master the Art of Manifestation and Conscious Creation!

I can’t say this enough. Energy is speeding up! Humanity is becoming more and more masterful at our craft and growing our dreams bigger and bigger! This IS THE TIME to become a powerful, masterful manifester and co-creator...where we get to dream big and actualize with accuracy!

It’s not just mindset anymore that’s going to do this! Having a clear, strong mind is important. Intentions and mantras are essential! And there is so much more to manifest powerfully, that includes emotions, energy, spirituality and the cosmos!

We have this saying in our world, “Go Energy!” Everything is energy! Everything comes from energy! When you want to elevate or transform something, you must “Go Energy” to amplify what you want quickly!

When you tap into the infinite world of energy, vibration and frequency, you discover a world of Quantum potential and possibilities! We LOVE facilitating energy activations and attunements to access higher energy and ground it through our experience!

5. Meditate and Celebrate!

We LOVE both of these so much! Gabriel has been meditating since he was 3, and for me since I was 14! Meditation is crucial to EVERYTHING we do, create, transform, elevate and facilitate! Whether we meditated through natural childbirth or did so for clarity or even to increase our points of attraction, something miraculous ALWAYS flowed into our lives during or shortly after!

We also LOVE to celebrate and be in states of JOY! Another saying I have in my Divine Wisdom Insight Cards: "Creation loves joy!” When you play and dance with joyful expression, creation energy speeds up, things manifest more easily and quickly, and you have even more to celebrate!

Give thanks and deeply appreciate ALL the beautiful experiences in your life!

This keeps your heart open, your energy field expanded, and your emotions and thoughts in a state of joyful goodness.

I choose to celebrate every day! From the miraculous experience of a rainbow or simple sparkling snow to more significant manifestations like dream clients or filling our programs, to building a gorgeous studio office sanctuary!

If you can alternate between “meditate – celebrate,” we fully believe and know that your life will be wonderfully abundant, beautiful and inspiring!

You are meant to thrive! You are intended to create, have and experience an extraordinary life! In this moment, this month, this year and the years and moments to come! You get to create and reset as often as you desire. You get to move fast or slow things down. You can focus on actualizing one thing at a time or many things simultaneously.

Honour you! Celebrate it all! Let your life be a great, ever-evolving experience that reveals more beauty as you grow!
