Owning Your Seat: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome & Leading with Confidence

Research shows ~70% of people experience imposter syndrome at some point in their careers. If you've ever felt like you're one mistake away from being "found out," you're not alone. Owning your seat isn't about fixing yourself, it's about learning to recognize self-doubt as a normal response to growth, quiet the inner critic, and build self-trust so you can lead with clarity and confidence (even imperfectly). By the end of this session, participants will:

• Understand the psychological patterns behind imposter syndrome and how they manifest in leadership.
• Identify personal triggers and reframe limiting beliefs through evidence-based reflection.
• Apply strategies to reduce perfectionism and cultivate sustainable confidence.
• Strengthen self-trust and redefine success in ways that support authenticity and resilience.

I led with the statistic to establish credibility first, then followed with the relatable "you're not alone" line – it now reads as a payoff to the data rather than an opener needing justification. Let me know if you'd like a different ordering (e.g., bullets reprioritized by theme).
