Determined not to let the disease define him, Wayne has become a global advocate for rare disease awareness, building platforms like Shoulder-Shoulder to provide community, resources, and families hope. His AI-powered app — using the power of rugby — aims to revolutionise the world of mental fitness. Not done there he intends to divert his focus on a second app, using the same concept, and inspired by his own symptom-tracking system - that will cut diagnosis times and improve patient care worldwide. Today, Wayne shares his story through public speaking, podcasts, and campaigns, fighting not just for patients, but for the families and carers who walk this journey alongside them.
