Tiara Armstrong is breaking barriers in the mental health field prioritizing true holistic wellness with emphasis on integration of spiritual wellness and mental health. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor & Clinical Supervisor (LPCC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), EMDR trained therapist near completion of EMDR certification, and Reiki II practitioner, Tiara saw a need to prioritize whole-person wellness in helping clients navigate & heal through both complex and systemic trauma that disproportionally impacts the BIPOC community.
Tiara utilizes the unique blend of therapy and coaching services, community-based pop ups, and speaking engagements, leading her clients & community in liberation-centered healing. As a basis for her clinical work, Tiara bridges the foundational principles of holistic wellness and liberation psychology, with the application of EMDR therapy and spiritual psychotherapy, using the 8 dimensional wellness model and systemic trauma vortex model. She aims to empower clients to discover their best selves, inviting them on a therapeutic journey of healing and self-exploration. One of Tiara’s greatest joys is helping her clients come to understand that they are capable of making profound changes in their lives, able to re-frame their stories, and alter the outcome, by implementing guided feedback, healthy coping skills and mindfulness practices applying discipline, focus, and intention.
Recognizing a lack of diversity in the wellness spaces in her community, she organizes events that serve as platforms for education, connection, and breaking down the isolation that can often accompany mental health struggles in black and brown communities. Tiara believes in a future where everyone can thrive – by cultivating community at the forefront of the healing lens.
