People often ask me where the idea for lvb came from. The truth is, it didn’t begin with a handbag. It began with a question: Why do we accept that some industries should evolve while others remain fundamentally unchanged?

For more than thirty years, I have built businesses around one belief, great design should improve people’s lives. Whether in fashion, graphic design, branding or interiors, my goal was never simply to make something beautiful. Beauty matters, but without purpose, it is quickly forgotten.

What has always fascinated me is people, how they think, live, express themselves and connect emotionally with the things around them. That understanding became the foundation of every business I built.

Then COVID changed everything. The interior design business I had spent decades building was deeply affected, and I was forced to ask myself, what comes next?

Instead of slowing down, I chose to begin again.

I realised I wasn’t starting from scratch. I was starting with thirty years of experience.

Around that time, another question kept returning to me: Why had luxury remained fundamentally unchanged for so long? Technology, architecture, mobility and communication had evolved, yet luxury ownership still followed the same pattern, buy another handbag, another accessory, another piece for another occasion.

What if luxury could adapt instead of simply accumulate?

That became the beginning of lvb.

My ambition was never to create another handbag brand. It was to build a global luxury accessories house based on two principles: Modular Design and Dual Aesthetics.

Our products are designed to evolve, transform and work together. The handbags are only the first chapter. The same philosophy will extend into jewellery, travel goods, men’s collections, eyewear and future accessories.

I don’t believe innovation should exist simply to be different. It should make people’s lives better.

That is why I founded lvb, to create a future where luxury is more personal, adaptable and meaningful.

And I truly believe we are only at the beginning.
