Nicole Burnett
Mental Coach for Western Riders
Nicole Burnett is passionate about helping equestrians transform their mindset to unlock their full potential both in and out of the saddle. Her journey into mental performance coaching began with her own struggles in the show pen. Despite countless hours of training, Nicole often found herself battling anxiety and overwhelmed by the fear of what others might think, which prevented her from performing at her best. It wasn’t a lack of skill—it was a lack of mental tools.
Determined to change her mindset, Nicole immersed herself in learning about mental performance. She discovered strategies that finally quieted her inner critic and led to an incredible transformation, not just in her riding, but in how she approached every challenge. This personal journey ignited her passion for helping other riders experience the same shift.
Nicole founded Resilient Reiner Academy to fill a crucial gap she recognized in the equestrian world. She saw that many riders, particularly non-pros, struggled with confidence, which held them back from truly connecting with their horses and enjoying their rides. The Academy offers a step-by-step guide to building lasting confidence, providing riders with the tools to overcome fear, doubt, and anxiety, so they can finally perform at their best.
What sets Nicole apart is her deep understanding of the challenges riders face. She has been there herself—feeling like she didn’t belong, questioning every move in the saddle and shor pen—but she also knows what it takes to overcome those challenges. Her coaching goes beyond mindset shifts to include practical, actionable steps that lead to real results. Whether it’s helping a rider break through to their next level in their riding and showing or finding renewed joy in their partnership with their horse, these moments fuel Nicole’s passion for her work.
When she’s not coaching, Nicole spends as much time as possible riding her own horses or enjoying moments with her family and friends. Riding is her passion, but so is helping others find their confidence and joy in their equestrian journey.
