
Mark Eaton
Clinical Neuropsychologist and BWRT® expert
Mark Eaton is a Clinical Psychologist, Neuropsychologist, and Forensic Psychologist with extensive medicolegal and clinical experience. He is also an international BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®) specialist, mentor, and supervisor, and has been a keynote speaker and program director for medical conferences across South Africa. His work focuses on restoring motivation, clarity, and psychological resilience in adults who feel stuck despite insight and effort, using a strengths-based approach that integrates neuroscience, brain theory, and BWRT® interventions.
Mark is known for his ability to combine analytical rigor with empathetic listening, helping individuals move from despair and depletion to renewed energy and measurable psychological strength. He facilitates group BWRT® interventions for issues like burnout, trauma, phobias, and sleep problems, and has developed programs such as Radical Recharge, Power Debrief, and Boundary Boost to help people boost resilience and personal boundaries.
His career spans over two decades, including a previous role as a full-time lecturer in Psychology at Nelson Mandela University, where he earned his qualifications. He furthered his education in the UK and worked as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist in private hospitals and the National Health Service, before returning to South Africa in 2006 to focus on private practice, while continuing to treat clients globally. He specializes in treating children, adults, and older persons using BWRT® as his primary method.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mark has provided expert witness testimony in civil and criminal litigation cases and served as a clinical rater for international clinical trials on dementia and Alzheimer's disease. He is a founder member of the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Clinic in Port Elizabeth and continues to advise on the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders. Mark is passionate about offering workshops and webinars to professionals, companies, and groups to improve emotional wellness and interpersonal development.
