Lydia Linise is the UK's leading pioneer in halal brow bleaching and the founder of MHB Academy, a professional beauty training academy dedicated to making faith-aligned brow grooming a global industry standard. 

Born and raised in France, Lydia moved to the UK over a decade ago with limited English and a passion for beauty. When she embraced Islam as a revert, she found herself navigating a quiet tension, a deep love of femininity and aesthetics, and a faith that called her to honour her appearance differently. It was through a friend that she discovered halal brow bleaching: a technique that grooms and transforms the brows without removing a single hair, fully aligned with Islamic principles. What started as a personal practice quickly became a calling.

Lydia began offering the service from home, building her clientele and her confidence simultaneously. When her second pregnancy made client work impractical, she made a pivotal decision: to train others. She obtained her Level 3 Award in Education and Training, developed a structured curriculum, and launched MHB Academy.

Today, MHB Academy has reached 300+ beauty professionals across 15+ countries. Lydia offers online and in-person courses, a mentorship programme, and a podcast: "Become the Reference" designed to help beauty entrepreneurs build sustainable, values-led businesses.

Her long-term vision is to train trainers, expand across Europe, and establish halal brow bleaching not as a niche trend, but as a recognised global treatment. She built all of this around nap times, as a mother of three.
