Lindsay Squire is the face behind the Instagram sensation @thewitchoftheforest,
an account dedicated to sharing witchcraft tips, knowledge and guidance to witches of all levels of experience since 2017. The account now has over 525k followers and a thriving community. In 2025, Lindsay was voted the number one Pagan Influencer on FeedSpot by her followers.
 
Lindsay is an international bestselling author of 9 witchcraft books (with more on the way), writing her first book Natural Magick in 2020. As a practicing witch of 19 years, Lindsay is passionate about sharing the wisdom & knowledge she has gained in the craft to help & inspire the practice of other witches. She has dedicated over 15 years to writing about witchcraft in a practical and accessible way so she can empower all witches, especially begginners who may not know where to start, as they forge their own spiritual paths. Lindsay has also created her own set of divination tools. Firstly a tarot deck called Tarot Magick Tarot Deck, an oracle deck, the Earth Magick Oracle Deck to pair with her second book Earth Magick, and a Charm Casting Kit, all created with beginner readers in mind.
 
Due to the success of her books and on social media, Lindsay has written forewords for three published books by Leaping Hare Press and Quarto Publishing and was employed as a witchcraft and tarot expert to work with writers on two separate books, Witchcraft: A Graphic History and Tarot: A Graphic History.
Lindsay has been interviewed for a number of well-known publications, appearing in magazines such as Parade (US), Spirit & Destiny, Fate & Fortune, Kindred Spirit and in UK national newspapers The Daily Mirror & The Daily Telegraph. Since 2022, she also appears regularly as a guest on witchcraft podcasts like The Bell Witch Podcast, The Johnny Chan Podcast and the Secret Witch Podcast.
 
As an experienced professional tarot reader of 16 years, Lindsay began offering tarot readings to others in 2017 via Zoom. This took off in popularity and now she offers face-to-face readings, tarot reading evenings and teaches others how to read the cards for themselves. Lindsay is a tutor, regularly holding a range of witchcraft and tarot classes, and since 2020, she also mentors a small number of people to help them grow and deepen their own craft.
