Kaizen Physiotherapy & Performance
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation services
Kaizen Physiotherapy & Performance was founded in 2022 by David Thomas and Gus Hadonou, who became close friends while working together at Kingston hospital. With over 20 years of combined clinical experience, they share a common goal: helping people return to their sports or daily passions as quickly and effectively as possible.
David holds a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and an MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham. He has worked as a specialist physiotherapist within the NHS, with top sports teams and elite athletes, including members of team GB. He currently splits his time between Kaizen and working at Chelsea FC Academy. David also has qualifications in hands-on therapy, martial arts coaching, and has been a guest lecturer across universities and gyms in the UK.
Gus graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014 and has worked in a range of NHS, private, and international settings. He has tailored his approach over a decade of experience to combine exercise, acupuncture, and manual therapy to reduce pain and accelerate recovery. Gus also incorporates Reformer Pilates and Strength & Conditioning principles into his physiotherapy practice. He teaches Reformer Pilates in Richmond and runs an NHS clinic in Kingston.
Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of ‘Kaizen,’ both David and Gus focus on providing holistic, evidence-based care geared towards pushing people further than their expectations. They believe that everyone deserves to move and live well, no matter their pursuit or goal. Their philosophy dictates that their treatment principles remain the same regardless if they are working with elite athletes to perform again or an elderly person recovering from a hip fracture to walk again! As Kaizen grows, it aims to build a multidisciplinary team of like-minded professionals dedicated to improving multiple facets of health and fitness and providing evidence-based educational content to the general public.
