Dominique Méthé

Perinatal & Reproductive Mental Health Social Work

Dominique graduated from her social worker bachelor's degree in 2014. She started her career in a men's medium security prison. She stayed in that position as a Clinical Social Worker in the Mental Health Department for over 10 years. This place gave her the opportunity to grow professionally and develop multiple skills to make her an expert in her field. This place also changed her a lot and changed her view of the world. After becoming a mother two beautiful children, this employment did not feel aligned with her values and the life she was striving to live. When Dominique's daughter was almost one, she started having serious health issues. After navigating this diagnosis, it became evident to Dominique that she needed to make a drastic change in her life. In 2025, Dominique decided to take a leap of faith and start in private practice.

She is now welcoming woman in her therapy office to work on perinatal mental health, pregnancy loss, birth trauma and infertility issues. She holds space in a very empathic way for woman to feel heard, understood, supported and empowered throughout their journey. Dominique has training in a lot of different therapies (ACT, CBT, DBT, CPT) so she can tailor her approach to what her clients needs. She is currently in the process to becoming a certified breathwork practitioner and will start an EMDR training as well. Dominique is an empathic, funny and joyful person. She is re-finding her creativity and her spirituality in this journey. Things are finally starting to feel much more aligned and she cannot wait to see where this chapter of her life will bring her.
