Christopher Tuft
Education Coach & Consultant
Chris Tuft is an education strategist, former school leader, and founder of Chris Tuft Educational Advocacy, where he helps families navigate complex shool decisions with clarity, confidence, and strategic insight. With over two decades of experience in public education, Chris spent 12 years as a classroom teacher and 9 years as a school-based administrator, including serving as a principal. He later worked at the district level focusing on behavior systems and social-emotional learning supports to better serve students with diverse needs.
As a principal, Chris became known for his leadership in building strong, student-centered school cultures and presented at state conferences on the impact of social-emotional learning in tranforming school environments. His work consistently emphasized the connection between emotional safety, behavior, and academic success.
Today, Chris specializes in helping parents - particularly those of neurodivergent students - navigate IEPs, 504 plans, and high-stakes school decisions without escalating conflict. Through his "Get Curious" framework, he teaches families how to move from reactive advocacy to calm, informed strategy that leads to better outcomes for their children.
Chris's work is also deeply shaped by his personal journey. Having overcome substance use disorder, he brings a level of empathy, resilience, and authenticity that resonates with the families he supports. He believes that growth is always possible and that clarity, compassion, and curiosity can transform even the most challenging situations.
Chris lives in the Charlotte, North Carolina area and is the proud father of four children.
