Having a low self-esteem, or not thinking highly of yourself, can be one of your biggest obstacles in life. When you don't believe in yourself, you avoid doing many things you would normally love to do in life; it stops you before you even start. Most people with low self esteem don't even dream about doing certain things because they don't feel it's possible for them or that they deserve it.

You have to see yourself with different eyes. You have to start believing that things are possible for you, that you deserve the best and that you have the potential to do anything you put your mind to.

This was something I had to work on to transform my life. I must admit it takes time, but it is worth it. If you dedicate 2022 to this one thing, I promise you that in December you will be a totally different person.

You can only focus on changing 1-2 things at a time, and for them to be permanent you have to give it more than six months.

So how do you start?

First, you have to make the decision that you will not stay where you are. That you want to believe in yourself, and become a better version of yourself. It has to be a committed decision.

Secondly, I would recommend you take some personal development programs that teach you about your potential and help you discover who you are. Most people don't know who they are, and are just doing things and acting according to familial and societal expectations.

Third – You have to start talking to yourself differently. Repeat positive affirmations about yourself. I would choose one affirmation and repeat it throughout the day for several months. Or, you can listen to self love affirmations that can be found on youtube, and listen to it while you work.

Fourth – focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. They are your strengths because they are yours; they are your gifts. Share them with others, be proud of them. Don't focus on your weaknesses unless it is to work on them.

Fifth – Do something uncomfortable everyday. Get out of your comfort zone, even if it is just a little uncomfortable. You have to start facing fears and doing things you normally would not do, so that you start believing in yourself.

Apply these for a year, and see yourself grow!
