It’s “funny” to think that we are directly hurting ourselves.

Think about it. You really want to go LIVE on Facebook, but you’re scared. You want more followers on Instagram, yet you keep your account private. You long for a certain promotion at your work, but you keep playing small. You want to improve your health, but yet you keep eating comfort food and drinking soda. You want to grow your business, but you don’t want to invest in a business coach.

The list goes on….

The problem here is, what you resist persists!

Resistance will cause you a lot of problems as you are:

  • Not living in harmony - you want to lose weight, but you don’t want to exercise.

  • Going sideways / staying the same as you keep doing what you know versus trying something different.

  • Lacking focus and thus end up overwhelming more often than not because you’re not as productive as you want to be.

  • Trying too hard and overthinking the process.

  • Scared of the unknown because what if it’s not what you thought and maybe you won’t want to do it after all.

  • Holding back because that’s what you’re used to doing.

  • Afraid it’ll be too hard, and you’d rather it be easy.

  • Having mixed feelings and you want to do what feels best because it’s much safer.

  • Wanting to stay comfortable and stick with your current routine and patterns because they are familiar.

Resistance is actually a signal that you’re moving into a new area, so it’s best not to resist resistance because you are on the path to something bigger and better. Besides, why postpone your own goals and desires?!

“Nobody ever died of discomfort, yet living in the name of comfort has killed more ideas, more opportunities, more actions, and more growth than everything else combined. Comfort kills!” - T. Harv Eker

Growth begins at the end of your comfort zone.

The comfort zone is a place to relax in between your growth stages, but you don’t want to stay here too long as it can kill your momentum! You are programmed to fight or flight, but if you work on letting go, life will flow so much better. Accept help, and you will grow faster and more efficiently.

So sit back and let your awareness kick in, think about what you want, stop resisting, and work on mastering your own desires. It’s a journey like no other, but very worth the growth and happiness in your mindset and life. Let go and let God.
