Her values are to be supportive, empathetic, and affordable always, and she wants everyone to feel safe when they are either in a one-to-one or group session with her.

Recently she has published a self-help book, “31 Days Life Changing Journal”, which is aimed at helping people change their mindset and start to become positive after going through a traumatic time.

Maxine believes it is essential that you feel at ease with her when you are working together, so with this in mind, she offers everyone a free hour meeting.

Maxine K Brown, MKB Life Coach

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

My name is Maxine K Brown, I am 56 years old and married to Steve, we have a Lakeland terrier cross called Mexi and recently we moved onto our narrowboat Never Two Late, We have sold all or furniture, house and most of the belongings to live a minimal life and we plan to travel the waterways of England and Wales on. I love cooking and also I enjoy learning and using alternative medicines.

What is your business name and how do you help your clients?

My business is called MKB Life coach. After major life-changing events in 2010, I have made it my passion to help others that are struggling with life and what it throws at you. I specialise in grief, bereavement and divorce support. I am also a qualified hypnotherapist, this is excellent in the support of anxiety and relaxation as well as being good for to assist in stopping cigarettes and to help you reduce eating the wrong foods.

What are your current goals for your business?

My goals for my business is to continue to support people that are struggling in their lives, and ensuring that people don’t think it is weak to ask for help, whilst ensuring that my pricing stay low so that more people can be helped. It goes against my beliefs to charge a lot of money so that the people that really need the help are out-priced.

Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?

I inspire myself to be the best that I can in helping people. I struggled for quite a few years and now that I am in a place of contentment I want to ensure I stay there love a full fling happy life.

What is your work inspired by?

My work is inspired by keeping the memory of my daughter alive, Lizzie was killed in a car accident in 2010 and because of her loss, I have trained to help others as I can understand the feeling of great loss even though every bodies loss is personal to them.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

The main thing I would like to change is the pricing structure, I truly do not believe that people should be charging hundreds and sometimes thousands to support somebody going through a difficult time.

I have been told many times that I don’t charge enough. However, my aim is to support everyone not just people that have a large disposable income.
