Michele DeVille, Grief Specialist, Coach, Speaker, Writer

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

My name is Michele DeVille and I am a Certified Grief Specialist and Educator, Coach, End of Life Doula, Writer and Speaker. I grew up in a small Wisconsin town. My husband and I have 2 dogs, 6 daughters, two son-in-laws, a grandson and a granddaughter on the way. I love music, travel and spending time with family and friends up north at our family cabin. My passion is writing and helping those who are grieving. We can all make a difference in the world. What is your business name and how do you help your clients?

At Dare to Grieve, I work with clients who are grieving and I also provide education to those who are trying to support someone who is grieving. I am passionate about changing the way we think and talk about loss, grief and dying. People are hurting everywhere and I'm dedicated to helping others through coaching, writing, speaking and workshops. I also offer greeting cards on my website specific to helping those who are struggling, grieving or going through a hard time. I’m hoping to launch a new book on grief in 2022. What kind of audience do you target your business towards?

I'm passionate about helping people who are grieving a loss that has turned their life upside down as well as working hard to educate those who are trying to support grievers in the community, workplace and at home. Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?

Everyone's grief matters and everyone will grieve. People need to feel loved, supported and heard. What is your work inspired by?

My own loss and grief experiences changed me and led me to do this work. Grieving can be one of the loneliest journeys human beings will take and I am dedicated to showing up and supporting those who are hurting and grieving. There is so much loss, pain and grief in the world and I’m dedicated to helping in any way I can. If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

To normalize grief and change the way our society thinks about grief. We need to change the conversations and start talking openly about loss, death and grief.
