What Are You Pretending Not To Know?

Stop and really think about it. Get really honest with yourself. What are you pretending not to know?

I was in a leadership program and this question was posed to me.

I was in resistance and focusing on all the reasons why we were not reaching a goal.

I couldn’t see how to get there. I was feeling beat down and in massive resistance (AKA control of what it should look like, how to get there, etc).

How often do we focus on the reasons something can’t happen versus how CAN we create this?

My coach said, “Tina, what are you pretending not to know?” My eyebrows crossed, I acted confused and asked “What do you mean?”

She said back to me “I mean, what are you pretending not to know?”

How often do we stay stuck in the resistance of our perceived limitations and a scarcity mindset even though we know it’s not truth? She was working to open me up and get me thinking into possibilities.

Step 1: Find Gratitude

There is a lot of spent energy tied up in resistance. What does it look like when you take that energy and turn it into gratitude? How does it feel when you focus on what you DO have? You have the power of choice. Spend your energy wisely.

Pro Tip: Get out of your own way and spend your time/energy wisely. Define who you get to show up as and embody those ways, always.

Step 2: Create Vision

What do YOU really want?

Every client responds to that question “What? No one has EVER asked me that. I have never asked me that. What do you mean what do I want?”

Once you are truly grateful for all that you DO have, it frees up all kinds of space to dig into what YOU want.

Who do YOU get to BE? What do YOU get to create in this lifetime? Where will YOU take a stand?

As I got really clear on these questions, I began to feel the fire internally. I could feel my internal power rising. It burned quietly at first. Today, it’s a steady roar.

Now that I’ve found my power, no one ever gets to take it, including and most of all, my own shadows.

Pro Tip: Be crystal clear on what you want, your values and your why.

Step 3: Execute

How committed are you to your vision? 87% of the time, strategy (vision) fails because people resist change. Let’s face it, it’s easier to stay in your comfort zone not growing. Execution of your vision is where the magic happens. This is where the champions are born. What’s the step by step plan? Who will you reach out to for support? How will you hold yourself accountable?

Pro Tip: Be consistent, maintain focus and stay in committed action.

Intention is powerful. Use this 3 step process and the questions to support you when you feel stuck.

Find your gratitude. On top of it, build and execute your vision. It’s all right there waiting for you to reach down deep inside and pull it out.

Stop holding yourself back. The world is waiting for you to rise up and shine!

Pro Tip: Take action. Go BE the change!

In love, light and leadership;
