Her values are to be supportive, empathetic, and affordable always, and she wants everyone to feel safe when they are either in a one to one or group session with her.

Recently she has published a self-help book, “31 Days Life Changing Journal”, which is aimed at helping people change their mindset and start to become positive after going through a traumatic time.

Maxine believes it is essential that you feel at ease with her when you are working together, so with this in mind, she offers everyone a free hour meeting.

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life so we can get to know you better.

My name is Maxine, and I started. MKB Life Coach Three years ago. It came about. After many years of doing different coaching courses. Grief counselling courses, courses, NLP courses, and hypnotherapy training. After the loss of my daughter through a car accident, a marriage breakup shortly afterwards, job changes and starting a new relationship, I struggled to find somebody who Could support me and how I needed to be supported. Most of the support around me cost a fortune and didn’t help me. So, with this all-in mind, I ensure that I offer an affordable service, and My first session, which is 1/2 an hour, is Completely free to make sure that we have a rapport and that I can help that person.

My life is very, very different now. I am married to a caring, supportive man, Steve. Nearly two years ago, we moved onto our narrowboat Never Two Late that we designed and built. I run the business online because it works for me as I never know where I will be, and also, in this day and age, it works well for my clients. Onboard there is also our dog Mexi, Who I write Children's Books about. I also vlog our travels around the waterways of the UK, and we have a YouTube channel, which is a fun way for family and friends to track us. I've learned over the years that Work life balance is the most important thing. So now I take time out to also write self-help books, do lots of cooking, knitting, and walking in our lovely countryside. Also, I have signed up to run the virtual London marathon in April, which is a task in itself as I wasn’t a runner until earlier this year. But also helping others is extremely important as I know the importance of finding the proper support to move forward with your life. Can you provide more information about the specific coaching services you offer on your website? How do you tailor your coaching to meet individual needs?

I offer all my sessions via Zoom, telephone, FaceTime, or text. I want to make sure that my clients can reach out to me in whichever way is convenient and comfortable for them. Whether they need help with grief counselling, hypnotherapy, or life coaching, with today’s technology, clients can get support much more accessible and feel safe in their own space. The sessions are usually one hour but can be changed to suit the client. Different packages are all on my website, and I will also make bespoke packages for clients because everyone's needs differ. In January, I am running a six-month Challenge Yourself programme; this will comprise other challenges, one-to-one sessions, group sessions, exercise, nutrition, and preparing you to tackle life positively.

Could you share some success stories or testimonials from clients you've worked with? How has your coaching positively impacted their lives?

Below are some testimonials I've received and feedback, my biggest win is when my clients feel that they are able to continue with their lives and only need to check in once in a while as they feel strong and can cope with day-to-day life.

Testimonial 1

I enjoyed the week. Maxine is a perfect coach and very encouraging and supportive throughout. Completed the tasks daily, and sometimes, they were difficult but very rewarding when you worked through them. Love my Happy Jar. It will continue for many years.

Testimonial 2

I was genuinely sceptical about hypnotherapy, but it was an absolutely amazing experience! I noticed a difference the second I woke up, and I have been nothing but productive and positive since. Maxine really helped me be the best version of myself, and I couldn't recommend her enough!!!

Testimonial 3

Maxine has really supported me in changing my life around with all her useful tips and advice, also listening to me when I've been low and in a better way. I really do recommend this lovely lady to you. Maxine is so caring and supportive in a lot of situations.

Thank you so much. I really do appreciate all you have done and keep on doing.

Feedback from the chemistry call: “Thanks for the advice; even in 20 minutes, we have a plan that makes me less anxious in general.

A man in boat.

How do you typically structure coaching sessions, and what can clients expect from their coaching experience with you?

My sessions vary depending on my client's needs. I have a basic structure. I go through check-ins from the previous session. The main thing is to ensure that the client feels able to talk about everything, and the majority of the time, they answer their own questions. They need to be heard and supported or challenged.

If it is a text client, then I promise to get back to them very quickly as they usually need a quick support answer.

Are there any upcoming events, workshops, or resources that potential clients can access on your website to learn more about your coaching services and personal development in general?

In January, I am running my Six Month Challenge Yourself Programme, which consists of monthly challenges, one-to-one sessions, and group sessions to ensure that at the end of the six months, the client will feel ready to continue on a positive, even walk of life. You can find out more information here.

I have written a new grief support journal recently, which has been designed to help someone who has recently gone through bereavement and is struggling to understand everything that they are feeling. It is called Grief - A Private Club No One Wants to Join

Also, with the new year fast approaching it is an ideal time to get a journal ready to start the new year in the most productive way. MKB Life Coach Year Journal: A year to change your life.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

I have a couple of achievements that I am extremely pleased with, one being awarded the Most Supportive Life Coach 2023 by SME News and also knowing I have helped my clients, especially when they contact me afterwards to say that they feel so much better and are coping with what life throws at them. Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

With the loss of my daughter, I could have crumbled and given up on life, but she was an amazingly strong young lady who had gone through so much in the short time she was here that she gave me the strength to carry on and live my life even more so that her life was never wasted. You can read the full story in my first book.

Thank you very much for this interview. We all have to remember that whatever we go through, there is a way to get back on track. It may take time, and there will be difficult times, but seek support and keep focusing on the end goal. You will get there.

Please book a free session via my website if you are struggling right now.
