If you're looking to expand your network and build meaningful connections, consistency is key. Whether you're seeking new clients, business partners, or just making new connections, staying consistent with your outreach efforts will help you see better results and build stronger relationships over time.

5 tips to be consistent with outreach:

1. Set a goal

Decide what you want to achieve through your outreach efforts, and set a clear goal for yourself. This will help you stay focused and motivated, and it will also make it easier to measure your success. People you talk to will likely fit into one of four buckets: prospect, strategic partner, someone you can learn from, or someone that just isn’t a fit for any of those things.

2. Create a Key Performance Indicator

Decide how often you want to reach out to new connections, and create a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) that works for you. Commit to yourself to reach out to a certain number of people per day so you can stay focused on your goal and move the needle daily. Consistent daily action is what will keep your pipeline full.

3. Personalize your outreach

Take the time to personalize your outreach messages, and do not start with a pitch. When you start your reach out genuinely wanting to reconnect and add value, maybe see if there is anyone you can connect in your network you can them with, this shows that you want to add value to the relationship, and it increases the chances that they'll respond.

4. Keep track of your progress

Keep a record of your outreach efforts, including who you've reached out to, what you've said, and how they've responded. This will help you see what's working and what's not, and it will also help you stay on track and remind you to follow up if you haven’t heard from someone.

5. Make it a habit

Consistency is key. By making it a habit to reach out to new and previous connections, on a regular basis, you'll build stronger relationships over time and see better results.
