Eddie Pate and Jonathan Stuz are co-authors of Daily Practices of Inclusive Leaders: A Guide to Creating a Culture of Belonging
 
Eddie Pate spent 20 years leading ID&E efforts in some of the largest companies in the Pacific Northwest. He was the Director of Inclusion and Diversity for the Worldwide Operations (WWOPs) organization at Amazon. He was responsible for the development and implementation of all Global ID&E efforts in Amazon's largest organization. Eddie was formerly the VP of Diversity and Inclusion at Avanade. He was responsible for developing and implementing all diversity and inclusion efforts globally. Prior to Avanade Eddie was the Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Starbucks and prior to that he was the Director of Diversity at Microsoft. Before his corporate journey began, Eddie was a graduate student at the University of Washington, Seattle, where he earned his Ph.D. in sociology focusing on comparative race and ethnic relations/stratification and social psychology.
 
Jonathan Stutz, M.A. is the founder and president of Global Diversity Partners Inc. He has over 25 years’ experience working in leading-edge companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Zulily. Jonathan led Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ID&E) for four global businesses within Amazon’s Worldwide Operations group. At Microsoft, he led ID&E for the Worldwide Sales and Support group and later the Worldwide Operations group. Jonathan also came to lead the Global Readiness team ensuring Microsoft products were politically, culturally, and geographically appropriate in markets across the world. As a community leader, Jonathan serves on the board of trustees for Youth Eastside Services, a nonprofit for youth and families supporting behavioral health and substance issues in Bellevue, WA. He has served as a human services commissioner for the cities of Bellevue and Kirkland, Washington.  Jonathan earned his M.A. from City University of Seattle and his B.A. in political science from the University of Washington.
