I get it, I’ve been right where you are now. I know you desire to make more money in your business.
But what you don’t know is HOW to do that without necessarily doing more or sacrificing yourself, your family time, or time freedom.
I gotcha!
In this article, you’ll learn the exact secret sauce that I use with my high-paying 1-1 clients to hit every single financial goal. Plus some powerful journaling prompts and an opportunity to go even deeper.
What is a financial thermostat?
A financial thermostat is your internal programming of how you relate to money.
This includes:
How much money do you make per month/per year
The way in which you make money, whether it is through a job or through a business
How easy or hard do you find making money
Whether you're a saver or a spender
How much you spend
How much you save
How much debt do you accumulate
How you feel about money
How do you feel as you earn it/ spend it, save it, pay the debt, pay tax, or invest
Want to know what your financial thermostat is set to? Look at your external reality. Notice how your nervous system behaves when you're about to make a large investment. Or when you're about to ask for a high ticket sale.
Notice your tendency when it comes to making money, do you tend to self-sacrifice and work hard for every pound? Or does money just seem to fall in your lap?
Where does your financial thermostat come from?
In short, you inherit them.
As a child, you hear what's said about money.
You see how your parents or the adult around you behave with money.
You feel the energy they're emitting as they come home from work, or leave for work in the morning.
You feel the energy as they discuss money, even if you didn't truly understand what they were talking about as a child.
And through key experiences, and other repetitive what seem like "normal" insignificant experiences.
Key experiences could be if one of your parents had their car or home repossessed, and it was a big family ordeal.
Other experiences that have a big effect on your money mindset, could include:
If you've seen your parents have patterns of debt
If you didn't grow up with a lot of money
If you saw one or both parents work really hard for money and had no time left over for you
If you've heard one or both of your parents complain about their tax bill
If you've heard one or both of your parents complain about little money they have
Those traumatic events are very powerful in imprinting in your subconscious filing system. Leaving behind a deep-rooted belief system. With a specific perception of your relationship with money.
This lasts a lifetime, becoming a restrictive pattern, generation upon generation. Until one decides to break the mold.
Now, this is all fine, if you're okay with staying right where are for the rest of your life.
Seriously, it's perfectly fine! If that's what you want.
But, if you now have a business and you're ready to hit six and seven figures. Then, I'd highly recommend you upgrade your money paradigm to align with your goals, not your past. If you are ready to invest and make more money you can do that here
How do you upgrade your money paradigm or financial thermostat?
1. Deciding you want a different result
It all begins with your decision and commitment to having a different outcome.
Journaling prompts:
(write down your thoughts without censoring yourself)
What's the absolute ideal scenario?
What makes this new vision exciting to me?
2. Creating awareness & taking responsibility
Take some time to note down what's already happening in your life and the reasons behind them.
Journaling prompts:
Whenever you’re about to spend money, discuss money on a sales call, or check your bank balance. (or any other interaction/inaction that you have with money)
What thoughts go through your mind?
What emotions are present in your body as a result?
Are those thoughts true?
Are they fear-based or empowering thoughts?
Where have they come from? (There will be a belief lurking behind your thoughts)
You've learned today that the beliefs you hold around money were never yours, to begin with. But the truth is that they are yours now.
So taking responsibility to upgrade your money paradigm will not only benefit you for the rest of your life. But it will also stop the generational money patterns.
There's no reason for your kids or grandkids to suffer as you have. It can end with you!
3. Go even deeper with your upgrade
Manifesting a different reality starts from deep within first.
