Dr Aleksandra Filipovic, MD PhD, graduated from medical faculty in Serbia and then completed her clinical years, PhD and postdoctoral studies in cancer cell biology at Impeiral College London, where she still practices as a medical oncologist and holds an honorary lecturer post. Dr Filipovic ventured into drug developmet a decade ago as an associate medical director at Bristol Myers Squibb and thereafter a consultant for AstraZeneca, where she gained significant experience in early and late oncology clinical trials. From there, she transitioned to PureTech Health, a Boston based biopharma where she is the Head of Oncology and implements her clinical, scientific and holistic approaches in novel drug development. She is the member of ASCO, AACR, SITC, ESO, ESMO, SIO, BSIO and on the editorial boards of Frontiers in Oncology and Holistic Integrative Oncology Journal. Aleksandra also sits on the Board and is a Clinical and Scientific Advisor for Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC), a global oncology educational platform where she creates, curates and participates in delivering educational content. Dr Filipovic is also a trauma trained and accredited whole health medicine practitioner and founder of The H.E.A.L. Clinic. where she brings together holistic approaches and integrates medical care with whole person, whole health medicine. The H.E.A.L technique centers around integrative healing and a biosomatic approach, with the aim to promote inner empowerment for mind-body healing, as well as a clear, realistic, and positive attitude in order to learn and implement new, personalized skills for an effective, productive, and functional life.
