Humanity is currently experiencing collective adversity, and while the usual distractions have been stripped back, we are seemingly finding more time to create awareness around our mental and physical health. Some people are taking this present time in life as a chance for personal development or even spiritual awakening, both much needed for the greater good.
How do you know that it is time to wake up, hit the stop button, reassess your direction?
The answer is, YOU do already know it!
What many people don’t realize, and some do but don’t act on it, is this;
Everyone is connected to their inner guidance system and your body is that intelligent to notify you when something is going in an undesired direction for your wellbeing.
Humans were not built to live routinary lives. We are built to go on adventures, to be inspired and create, innovate, grow, and expand. Our spirit of creation is being forgotten, and sadly most people are not even aware of it.
Part of the process is to learn through experiencing contrast to get clearer on what we really want.
So let’s get clear here today.
Now ask yourself:
What is going on in your life right now?
How are you feeling physically and mentally?
Get Honest with yourself: what makes you feel good and what drains your energy?
What habits and routines have you adopted to balance everyday stressors?
Are you waking up with intent and love for life or with apprehension to start your day?
If you are struggling and feeling resistance, it Is your inner guidance system telling you to make some healthier choices for yourself. Which choices depend on the individual as to what is needed and often involve the healing of all three - Body, Mind and Spirit.
Is it time for your Wake-Up Call? Are you currently experiencing any of the following symptoms or emotions?
Feeling stuck in life with no clear direction
Lost in your life roles, a sense of “losing yourself”?
Lack of motivation and energy
Looking for Meaning in Life
When you are feeling stressed, you may not eat healthy foods and this can cause gut inflammation, which can affect your brain health and fuel your anxiety even more.
So, everything we do impacts our overall health. Is it time to break those cycles?
Often, we must encounter pain before we are prepared to make necessary changes, so be grateful for those warning signs, and let yourself be guided onto a healthier path.
When your body gets affected, in most cases, there is an emotional root cause associated and the above-listed symptoms are cry-outs for help.
So, where to begin if you hit that breaking point?
Start with these 3 simple steps.
STEP 1 Practice AWARNESS in all areas of your life.
All personal development starts with awareness, so start practicing. One way to do so is by taking note of your limiting thought patterns – “your inner critic,” and noticing what triggered a specific emotion or reaction?
By knowing more about how our mind operates, we can start taking control of our thoughts and emotions and reframe them by changing our perspective.
Activity: And if you want to do some deeper self-reflection work, make time in the evening before bed to journal about a specific trigger, thought, or event.
STEP 2 UNSTUCK YOURSELF and Start turning your attention towards what you want instead of what you don’t want. “Energy Flows were Focus goes. Forget about the stories of the past and don’t look at what you don’t have just focus on what could be.
In other words, I want you to Switch from Fight and Flight Mode into Creation mode. Create “space” in your day for daydreaming, what is that fills your heart with joy, what is it that you miss so you can live a more fulfilling life?
Activity: Let your spirit dance! Get out of your mind and connect to your heart by doing something creative, whatever your heart desires.
My top 3 ways of creating space are: cardio exercise, a swim in the ocean, listening to music.
STEP 3. BECOME MORE PRESENT and integrate Mindfulness practice into your everyday life.
These following adjustments will make a long-lasting impact if you commit to everyday practice. Over time you will develop and explore your own mindfulness strategies.
Meditation, Yoga, Breathwork, Listening to Music, or sitting outside and taking in the sounds of your surroundings, all of it is mindfulness practice, and it helps to bring back your attention to the present moment.
Activity: start with integrating mindfulness into your daily routines. Here are some examples of how to get started.
Evening: When you are going to bed, practice gratitude, pick one thing that you are grateful for the day. This will help you to raise your positive vibrations.
Morning: first 30 min, Stay away from News and phones and start your day with music and setting an intention about how you want the day to feel and what outcomes you want.
These little adjustments alone, will make a long-lasting impact if you commit to everyday practice and over time, you will develop and expand your own mindfulness strategies.
The goal of the above steps is to silent your mind and reconnect you with your heart centre, so you can surrender and trust the process of living a healthier and balanced life.
You have the right to experience how to live in flow, and that is such a better way of living,…much easier and joyful.
